I've noticed an uptick in comments recently. I do appreciate that. If I'm stimulating talk then it helps me know I'm doing my job right.

I kinda assumed something like this was going to happen as soon as I saw the "inspection crew", but I just assumed it was a side deal by the shady ship dealers, didn't click till now that it could have been their old enemies and not just some opportunistic hijackers.

NuncDimittis I'm am promoting this comic in every venue I go to. Please don't take our commenting too seriously, if it pleases you great! but I just want you to keep telling your story, your way. As this thing gets more popular, which it will, you are going to attract a whole bunch of trolls. if you let comments get to you, they will tear you apart. Love the surprised look on sams face at the mention of the ol' captain though...classic.

interesting thought. lets say he does get to his gun and get the cooks to surrender. lets say that they know who Sam and Hazel are, and were taking them to the enemy. Sam will have not choice but to space them. if he takes them to a planet, they can get in touch with the enemy and get them on his trail. If he kills them, the trail goes very very cold.

One of the subtle themes of this story is how utterly big the universe is, drop the aliens off at a backwater planet with only a mail carrier that comes by every 5 years and the trail will go cold well before they escape.

Why give them a mail carrier?
TiredTait 5th Mar 2016, 1:20 PM edit delete reply
I'm assuming if a planet's backwalter enough to not have an occasional mail transport it's backwater enough to not be able to support a couple of xenos with varied nutritional and medical supplements. You drop someone off on an uninhabited planet even with a decent amount of supplies you're basically giving them a long term death sentence.

Once I saw the inspection crew, the scene from Star Wars where Tarkin is talking to Vader saying "are you sure the homing beacon is secure aboard their ship?" flashed through my mind lol
